What are you cooking? Mom! What’s for Dinner?!!
Those are constant sentences in my house and I am sure the same is heard in homes all around the world. I have become obsessed with meal planning. Well I am obsessed with anything I can plan and write and create. (Can you tell that since I quit teaching I need a certain amount of time to create plans, calendars, anything!!!)
At the beginning of each month I sit with my dry erase calendar and begin planning my month of meals. It really helps me to cut grocery costs, plan meals, and stop the what’s for dinner questions. I leave room for leftovers and when I know we will be in town due to activities.
However I am tired of my same old, same old meals. What I need is your help with something new. So help me out. Here is my calendar help me fill it up. Now be prepared I may ask for your recipe. Also we are ranchers, so meat must be in every meal. LOL

Go on pioneer woman website n search for the chicken spaghetti..yum!
I actually have this recipe, but have never made it. I guess I am going to have to give it a try! Thanks
You forgot taco night! Then I make a cheese sauce out of the left over taco meat for chip dip snacking.
Oh, and I get these little flavor packs for under a dollar, SunBird Asian seasonings, General Tso’s chicken is the best, it’s so good and easy! Then I put it with some fried rice, also easy, and stir fry veggies. I had no idea Asian food night could be accomplished at home till I found these little packets. You could even buy fortune cookies to go with it!
Speaking of meals, Thought I would ask you. What is your go to meal for a group. For example for branding, bangs vaccinating, AI’ing etc. I was always in the house with the kids but over the last 4 years I have moved back outside since my kids are older. So now it is harder to have a meal ready when the whole crew including me walks in.
Yet another idea, I know, my third input, but my husband does this and it is delicious. We get johnsonvill New Orleans brats. Slice them up, fry potatoes, then add the brats, then add some sliced onion. It is an amazing combination and pure comfort food.
Those all sound so good. I am going to have to write these down. Thanks for all the suggestions.
