Enjoying the view from horseback.

Well it’s time to come off the mountain. We spent all day this past Saturday in the saddle. Let me just say I haven’t ridden since July and I was sore by the time 4 pm came around.

I made this yesterday. It is so amazingly simple and delicious. Spinach, gnocchi, chicken, and carrots star in thus creamy soup. Just perfect for a chilly day. The recipe will be up soon, but for now enjoy the picture.

I volunteered to make bread sticks for our church women’s group. I put it off over weeks and days. Then I decided that at 10pm last night I needed to watch the movie It’s Complicated with Meryl Streep. Just love that movie. So I started the breadsticks st 12:30 am and finished at 3:04. Notice the clock. It’s a crazy life I create for myself.

The kids with their 4-H steers Cheddar and Timber.

This is on our mountain property. We summer the cows from the north ranch and the yearling heifers here from June – October.

My kiddos enjoying some sweets in the cabin. When it’s snowy outside, this is the best way to enjoy smores.

This morning while cleaning, I noticed that there was a beautiful sunrise. Enjoy!

Joe was jumping off a 4- wheeler to gather cattle, when his front leg snapped in half. He yelped once and that was it, he never made another sound. He spent months being locked up and becoming a house buddy. ( which by the way be loved.) He has healed and although he can’t go as long out trailing he does go, but catches a ride from someone on the 4-wheelers when he needs it.

Yes, she is so spoiled. But how cute is she!
